The bottom of the basket is covered with felt to protect whatever surface it is placed upon. A beautiful example of American folk art. Expected age wear to painted surfaces. Age cracks and abrasions to interior of base, but secure with felt on underside. In addition to presenting an attractive design and coloration, most of the beads spin nicely around the metal wires within.
