TWO GRACE PUTNAM BYE LO BABY DOLLS: Both are impressed Grace Putnam on the bisque heads, have stationery eyes, cloth frog bodies. The larger 13'' doll has composition hands. The smaller 10'' doll has celluloid hands.CONDITION: Her hands show wear.
THREE GERMAN BABY DOLLS, the first Baby-By-Lo with bisque head marked "Copr. By Grace S. Putnam" 21"H; the second Baby-By-Lo with composition head marked "Grace Storey Putnam" 18"H and the last baby doll marked "Germany 124/4" 18"H.
Group of (3) Copr. By Grace S. Putnam Byelo babies.14", 14", 17". Pair of 14" L dolls. Blue eyed doll - 12 1/2" cir. has a marked (purple stamp) body and is wearing antique clothing. Condition: (1) finger missing. Brown eyed doll - 13" cir. is wearing an original tagged gown/petticoat and vintage bonnet. Condition: prominent head seam. (1) Finger repaired. Also, a 17" L. 14" cir. doll with blue eyes, marked body and is wearing an antique dress with tucks and lace detail. Condition: flake on lower edge of right eye. Hole in left palm. Hands do not match. All of these dolls have cloth "frog" bodies and celluloid hands. (These came from the Merritt's Antique store.)
Pair of dolls.14" T 12" cir. Marked Grace Story Putnam Byelo baby. Blue sleep eyes.Compo head and hands, cloth "frog" body. Dressed in vintage clothing, glass baby bottle. Condition: crazing. 22" Unmarked child doll with compo head and limbs, cloth body. Brown sleep eyes, dark brown mohair wig. Doll is dressed in gold and blue coat with matching bonnet, blue cotton dress with teddy. Oilcloth shoes; socks. Condition: crazing; imperfection on forehead. Nice coloring, this is a pretty doll.
Two Infant Dolls Two baby dolls in long white gowns. Smaller has brown glass eyes and is marked on nape of neck Germany/ K&H/ 525. Larger is a Blu sleepy eye doll with frog leg body delicate white embroidered shift celluloid arms (one of which is broken) and a faintly stamped neck reading Copr. by/ Grace C. Putnam; largest ht. 18 wd. 8.5 in. Condition: Wear to eyelids of larger "sleeping" doll which also has a broken (and missing) arm. Smaller infant has lost paint on hands soiling to attire.
Three Bisque Head Dolls, a German bisque head bye-lo-type baby doll, faintly impressed "Grace S. Putnam Made in Germany" to the back of the neck, with bisque hands and cloth body (missing index finger to left hand); a smaller Japanese bye-lo-type baby doll in blue floral embroidered eyelet dress, "JAPAN" impressed to back of neck, with bisque hands and feet; and an unmarked doll with floral dress and blue polka dot apron and matching bonnet, with bisque hands and feet and cloth body. Grace Story Putnam Bye-Lo baby doll, bisque head with sleep eyes, blushed cheeks and handpainted eyelashes and lips, marked to back "C 1923 by Grace S. Putnam Made in Germany", stuffed muslin body with crybox and composition hands, in cotton lace and ribbon trimmed gown with chemise, diaper, knitted booties and lace bonnet. MEASUREMENTS: 12". CONDITION: Head in excellent condition with very small silvery linear mark to nose. Hands with crazing and possible touchups. Mild toning to muslin body.

A German 17in. Bisque Bye-Lo Baby Doll, 19th/20th Century, Marked Copr. by Grace S. Putnam. Having a 13in. head circumference, cloth body with celluloid hands, painted brown wavy hair, eyelashes and closed mouth. Dressed in a cotton christening dress and bonnet with Grace S. Putnam button.

All dolls with chips and losses to composition elements, lacking several fingers, clothing of mixed age and condition.

Pair of Grace Storey Putnam Byelo babies. 10" L 9 1/2" cir. doll has blue sleep eyes, celluloid hands and a stamped cloth body. Condition: no flaws observed in bisque. (2) Fingers missing from right hand. 17" L 14" cir. doll has blue sleep eyes, celluloid hands and an unmarked cloth body. Condition: no flaws observed in bisque. (1) Finger repaired. Both dolls have long antique christening gowns with lace detail. 10" Has a bonnet, 17" has a petticoat. Clothing on both have age discoloration/deterioration.
Pair of baby dolls. 6" 20-16 Byelo style baby doll with 5 pc. bent limb body. Molded/painted features. Dressed in beautiful long gown, petticoat, fancy bonnet. Condition: left arm hook has been rebuilt; no other flaws observed. Silk mattress, cotton pillow and extra clothing. 4" Grace Storey Putnam Byelo baby. Molded/painted features. 5 Pc. bent limb body. Some replaced repro clothing. Condition: legs are not original to doll, they are painted bisque with painted blue booties, pink knit booties.
Pair of dolls. 30" Made in Germany Armand Marseille 390n. A.13.M. Brown sleep eyes with fluffy lashes, open mouth, replaced wig. Papier mache ball jointed body. Doll is dressed in antique clothing -white child's dress with lace trim, petticoat, pantaloons, child's black shoes. Condition: hairline crack over A.13.M. area. Antique hands may not be original to body. She is carrying an 11" Grace Storey Putnam Byelo baby with brown sleep eyes, original marked cloth frog body, celluloid hands.Vintage gown, cap and petticoat. Condition: no flaws observed in bisque. (3) Fingers missing. Both dolls have age discoloration to clothing, AM has age deterioration to shoes.
