What makes this piece so scarce is that the Hotel Mason existed for a total of two years -- from 1924-1926 -- and while it was popular enough to have hosted such VIPs as Babe Ruth, it fell into bankruptcy and closed down. When it reopened, it was named The Princess Martha, which still exists today as an active senior adult living facility.
