The trap features a professionally crafted steel construction that shows six staggered teeth adorning the trap and reads as follows on the tongue: Duke Trap - #15 Bear - D. The condition of this bear trap is good with a slight patina adorning the tongue and springs but otherwise shows good overall condition. The measurements of this trap are 8 1/4" x 14 1/4" x 18".

VICTOR #3 COYOTE METAL SPRING TRAP W/ STAKEFeatured in this lot is this Victor #3 coyote metal spring trap with stake. The trap features a wonderfully and professionally crafted metal construction. The trap features the cut 'V' into the plate and shows a long chain attached to a stake that holds the trap in place for trapping coyotes. The condition of this coyote trap shows heavy oxidation tot he springs and to the trap frame along with a patina but otherwise shows fair overall condition. The measurements 16 3/4" x 5 3/4" x 3 3/4". The collective weight of this coyote trap is 3lb 6oz.

Remarkable Sixth Plate Daguerreotype of a Heavily Armed Trapper Anonymous sixth plate daguerreotype of a trapper or hunter striking a resolute pose. Dressed for winter he wears a heavy wooljacket and fur cap. He displays a full stock percussion rifle for the camera and is further outfitted with Colt model 1849 pocket revolver knife belt axe powder horn and fine leather hunting pouch. Strapped to his back is a large bundle of furs or fur-wrapped bedroll. Housed in a full leather case separated at the spine. Found recently in North Carolina. A stunning image. Condition: Solarization at mat edges. Two small circles of discoloration centered on the gold tinting on the buckles of the trapper's belt and strap.
