English Parian pitchers including Charles Meigh & Son and Edge Malkin & Co., details include: one Charles Meigh & Son, c. 1856, blue and white pitcher with raised classical figures and dolphins among marshy reeds, cranes beneath spout and to handle, large masque to handle base, marked on base, 11" h.; Edge Malkin & Co., white and blue floral design on stippled blue ground, c. 1856, marked on base, 8" h.; and one all white pitcher with putti and satyr figures around circumference, reeded background above ivy border, small illegible register mark to base, 10 1/2" h., all pieces with wear consistent with age and use including minor damages, firing imperfections, etc. [PROVENANCE: Collection of Edith Whitman Interiors]
