Longines 10K yellow gold filled pocket watch commemorating the 1954 World Series between the Cleveland Indians and the N.Y. Giants. Engraved on back 'B.F. 1954 Indians vs. 194 Giants 7-21-74'. Provenance from the Estate of Bob and Ann Feller, Cleveland, Ohio. Bob was named 'The Greatest Pitcher' of his time for the Cleveland Indians and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1962. He played 18 seasons for the Indians, was an 8 time 'All Star' and ranked 36 out of 100 in 'Sporting News' list of 100 of the Greastest Baseball Players. At the age of 23 he was the first American professional athlete to enlist in the military the day after the attack on Pearl Harbor. 12 Size.
