Note: The teapot and urn were part of a service gifted for the 1793 christening of the daughter of Philipp Jacob Arcularius (1746-1823) and Elizabeth Grim, who were married in New York City in 1776. Provenance: Property from the Charles Irwin Jones Family Collection. Condition: Each in good condition overall with normal wear associated with silver of this age and use including but not limited to a slight depression in finial area of lid, there are expected light scratches on underside, the engraved areas are slightly worn and handle is probably a later replacement but appropriate in its style and being of horn. The sugar urn has tiny dings on plinth, some scattered small areas of old varnish residue throughout and the engraved areas are slightly worn but still exhibit crisp details.
