  JAPANESE SET OF TEA CUP & SAUCER,19TH C. 1- An early 19th century tea cup with matching plate. This pair both have an orange omber glaze which is textured and detailed with an eastern floral motif. This textured glaze covers the entire outer surface of the tea cup. which has a westernized handle and a smooth white porcelain interior. There¡¯s a black inscription on the underside of the cup. D: 2.9 by 1.9 in (7.15 by 4.73 cm) Condition: The rim of the cup has been restored. 2- The plates surface is textured and colored, has an indented surface for the cup and is lined with gold. It¡¯s underside is glazed a smooth white and has black markings. D: 4.4 by 0.6 in (11.12 by 1.50 cm) Condition: There are two small hairline to the rim of the saucer

  Two Kutani Porcelain Lidded Cups and Lidded Sake Bottle First a smaller footed cup with lid and ball finial apprx. 4"T second a larger footed cup with lid and acorn finial apprx. 4-1/2"T and a gourd shape lidded Sake bottle apprx. 5-1/8". All pieces hand painted in polychrome with gilt highlights on gilt background with brocade accents depicting courtly scenes. Both cups have extensive calligraphy texts inside and the bottle has similar text around the shoulders. All pieces signed by calligraphers and marked with gold-tone characters on iron red cartouches underneath.
