Thomas Aquinas Daly is an oil painter who was raised in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and attended school at the State University of New York at Buffalo and the Albright Art School. His connection to Western New York is inherent in all of the landscape paintings he creates of the region.

John Johnston Inglis (American/Irish, 1867-1946)
John Johnston Inglis was born on August 26th, 1867 in Dublin, Ireland. He studied at the Dublin Academy then at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts under Jean-Leon Gerome. At the Academie Colorossi his teachers were Raphael Collin and Gustave Courtois. Inglis began his painting career on his return to London in 1889. He exhibited at the London Academy, the Royal Hibernian Academy and the Scottish Academy. His travels took him to Niagara Falls and Lockport, New York and in 1907 Inglis settled in Rochester, New York. Here he was active in the Rochester Art Club and served as president. He accepted a position at the School of Applied Arts at the Athenaeum and Mechanics Institute which became the second professional art school in Rochester. In 1923, Inglis was named a director of the Memorial Art Gallery. He also took on the job of restoring the extensive portrait collection owned by the Rochester Historical Society, a task he completed in 1927. After a long illness, Inglis died at his home in Rochester on September 2nd, 1946. He is best known for seasonal landscape and marine painting.

Skeleton type minute/hour hands.15 jewel three position adjusted, Geneva stripped movement. Push sides of case, doors open to read the time only dial. While depressing catches, a quick downward thrust, the movement assembly falls out for winding. This same watch had Dunhill put on the dial, as a special order from Tavannes. All sterling except movement. Gross weight is 60.8 grams.
