Weight: 42.24 ozt.; 2" H x 13" diameter. Provenance: Property from an Upper East Side townhouse. Note: The vigorous and dramatic aquatic design of this work may be attributed to Charles Osborne, being extremely close to his "Oriva" punchbowl of 1884 commissioned by James Gordon Bennet of the New York Yacht Club and other works of the period which utilize sea creatures against a hammered surface (cf.
