- AN INTRIGUING NEST OF ELEVEN DINOSAUR
AN INTRIGUING NEST OF ELEVEN DINOSAUR EGGS Hadrosaur sp. (Duck-Billed Dinosaur) Cretaceous Xixia Formation, Henan Province, China This rare nest of eleven well-preserved dinosaur eggs were discovered in an area in Henan, China, believed to be a huge dinosaur nesting ground. Though there have been many dinosaur eggs found in this region it is quite uncommon to find such a large clutch of fossil eggs in such good condition. Each fossil egg measures approximately 6 inches in diameter and are virtually uncrushed though slightly compressed. The complete specimen measures 18 x 30 inches. Extremely well prepared. Due to the recent ban of exporting dinosaur fossils from China, specimens such as this are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain.
