GADWALL BY JOSEPH LINCOLN Among LincolnGADWALL BY JOSEPH LINCOLN Among Lincoln miniatures, hens are the most difficult to find, and gadwalls are among the rarest. It is likely that less than a handful are known. This bird has a particularly fine and detailed paint pattern, with highly stippled sides and back, pinstripe feather detail and delineated wing tip lines. Quite possibly the finest Lincoln hen miniature known. Unsigned. Identified as "GADWALL" in pencil on bottom.
3 3/4" long.
Surface original and excellent in all respects.
