Box has a courtship scene on lid, underside has scrolling pattern. French enamel box has residue inside, possibly rouge. Plate has gold edge and flowers set on a cobalt blue background.

Condition: Good condition overall for age and use, wear on plate and box. Hinge on box lid missing a tiny metal grip piece so lid rocks now.

One plate is decorated with a balance scale coat of arms reads ''Tout est reuni'' (Everything is convened) and is dated 1791. The second plate has a fluer-de-lis coat of arms with ''Union Force'' (Union Strength) below and is dated 1789. Both plates have a ''GA'' or ''AG'' stylized mark on verso and have holed in base rims with wires for hanging.
