Second item: Oil on board featuring a groomsman holding the bridle of a brown horse alongside a stone wall. Partial framing label en verso. Housed in a carved gilt frame. Sight - 6 1/2" H x 9" W. Framed - 11 1/4" H x 13 3/4" W. English, late 19th century. 3rd item: Watercolor on paper depicting an English hunting scene with hunters on horseback racing toward a beach with beachgoers and ocean in the background. 1st item: Craquelure on surface. Damage to frame, top middle. 2nd item: Repaint to body of horse revealed in blacklight photo. Scattered losses to frame. 3rd item: Small areas of loss to frame. 4th item: Tear, 1/2" x 1/2", top right corner of paper. and small pin-pricks in paper to right of rider at right.

Inscription en verso reads "Star Pointer/ Time 1.59 3/4/The first harness horse to beat 2 minutes". Housed in giltwood frame. Sight - 19 1/2" H x 15 1/2" W. Framed - 22 3/4" H x 18 3/4" W. Note: Star Pointer was the first Standardbred race horse to complete a mile in less than two minutes in a time of 1.59 3/4 minutes. 2nd item: American School oil on canvas depicting three horses, one black, one white, and one brown, drinking from a trough, brick wall with ivy and running water to the left.
