A Kyoto Shippo Handled Ewer Meiji Period Circa 1880-90 polychrome enamels worked in silver and gilded wire with butterflies flowers and ferns. Overall brocade ground with tapered wire hinged loop handle and lid all with matched fittings. Raised on tripod feet blue enameled interior measures 6"T (15.2 cm) to top of handle body is 3"T (7.6 cm) to top of finial 6"L to spout. (15.2 cm). Ex-collection of Mr. Robert Robinson.

Two Japanese satsuma vases: one with very fine polychrome and gilt decoration of a festival procession with Ebisu, god of good fortune, carrying a red sea bream, shoulder with flying white cranes, floral cartouches, foot with white prunus blossoms, base with five iron red characters, remnants of paper label, 3-5/8 in., wear to gilt on rim, otherwise excellent condition ; one with coastal scene of birds perched in magnolia, bridge crossing inlet to buildings, shoulder with checkerboard inlay at leaves, flowers on gilt scrolling vine ground, 3-1/2 in., very minor rim chip, minor wear and loss to glaze and gilt , late 19th/early 20th century.
