Deeply undercut and pierced to portray Tian Nu and her attendant in wind-swept robes and shawls, gliding upon clouds above mountain peaks, pine trees and roof tops, surrounded by cranes of immortality, the immortal holding a symbolic lotus-form pagoda in one hand as she disperses auspicious flowers as blessings.

Each immortal depicted standing on a separately carved wood base in a graceful pose and holding a deeply undercut attribute that identifies the bearded Li Tieguai with his iron crutch, Han Xiang playing a flute, Zhongli Quan holding a cup in one hand and a fan behind his back, Lu Dongbin holding his fly whisk and a sword, Lan Caihe holding a flower basket, Cao Guojiu holding a pair of tablets resembling castanets in his raised right hand and Zhang Guolao holding a pair of flat sticks in his raised left hand while the female immortal He Xiangu holds lotus blossoms.

The first of Guanyin holding a scepter while her child attendant Shancai kneels in front, the surfaces showing remains of reddish brown pigment; the other two possibly depicting the Daoist immortal He Xiangu, one holding a flower basket with black wash highlights and the other holding lingzhi fungus and lotus leaves with a golden brown wash overall (both with age cracks, minor losses); together with an export style oval picture frame delicately carved with flowers surrounding a beaded border (minor loses). Of cylindrical shape preserving the curve of the original tusk and carved in high relief with five rakan and a female divinity in an imaginary landscape amid billowing clouds, portions of the design heightened with stain and inlaid with mother-and-pearl and tortoise shell below a stylized cloud-form rim surmounted by a reticulated dragon, another dragon on the base of the lid centered by a sculptural finial of Kannon standing with a lotus flower and an amphora on a tall lotus pedestal, the side with an oval cartouche signed 'Koju/Takahisa', all supported on a wooden chrysanthemum-form base attached to a waisted wooden stand formed by conjoined petals and resting on five cabriole-shaped supports (surface wear).
