An Antique Jacot's Music Box MeasuringAn Antique Jacot's Music Box Measuring apprx. 16"W x 7-1/4"D x 5-1/2"H with a veneered wood case with hinged lid inlaid with blossoms and leaves surrounded by decorative banding on the top and front metal escutcheon. The interior of the lid has a lithographed card attached where names of songs may be written. Wood framed glass hinged door protecting the works one cylinder appears to have all the metal fittings inside including a shield shape plate reading "Jacot's Patented Safety Check Sept. 22 1886".

Condition
The mechanism winds and plays, but could use a minor tune-up / tuning. Some scuffing to the case.

H8 1/2'' W18 1/4'' D11'' Provenance: Columbia South Carolina private collection. Other Notes: DB Musical Restorations refurbished the mechanism of this music box in 2010. Case with separation to top and painted lowercase with minor losses rubbing and scuffing. Tune card with loss to edge three section comb. Drum mechanism needs a little attention and overall mechanism needs a good cleaning.
