Ornate scabbard has a man between pillars, pulling them down (similar to Samson destroying his enemy's temple). The scabbard and guard have the initials "FCB", which stand for the Pythian fraternal organization motto ("Friendship, Charity, Benevolence"). The guard also has a crest with the initials UR, which was given to members of the Uniformed Rank. Sword is marked "M.C. Lilley Co. Columbus Ohio" to one side and a knights helmet on the other side.
