A Kutani Mokubei Signed Tea Thing Bowl Early 19th Century The slightly irregular shape porcelain "Chawan" bowl has a 3/8" foot the bowl overall apprx. 6-3/4" x 7" with a thumb indentation on one side hand decorated with minute figures throughout and with a large dragon fish in the center and a table. The background has been painted in iron red and the figures in sancei green amber and aubergine picked out in gilt and gilt rim. The underside is mostly in the green color with the Kutani nine valley mark.
