Engraved on the underside of the grips and on the butt strap is ''To. Wm. H. Condon from a few Friends.'' Retains 60-70% orignal plating with scattered oxidation pitting in front of the cylinder and at the bore.

Not in operating condition, one of the backstrap screws and block not properly seated, some screw heads worn, loading lever with screw replaced, brown patina with highlights of silver around trigger guard.

Condition: Entire revolver is covered in a nice untouched brown mixing with pitting. Cylinder scene is visible. Grips still retain some varnish with some nicks and dings. Loading lever has an old blacksmith repair that was done during the period of use.

Condition: Barrel retaining 60% of the original blue finish thinning with some brown patina. Frame retains 90% silver with some flaking on the backstrap. Rosewood grips are excellent with some nicks and dings.

Civil War records include several Charles E. Jacksons and dozens of Charles Jacksons in both the Union and Confederate Armies. Included are copies of personnel records of a Charles E/C Jackson from NARA (we cannot confirm that this is the same guy who carried this revolver).
