MACOY & SICKELS KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD SCABBARDRare Antique Knights Templar ceremonial dress sword. Blade is marked "Macoy & Sickels New York". Robert Macoy and Dan Sickles were business partners from 1859-1870 selling Masonic and Freemasonry regalia. Engraved name on scabbard appears to be " D. R. Printup". Approx. 38" overall length, 30 3/4" blade with 13" fuller. Scabbard has double headed eagle, cross inside of a crown with the phrase "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life" and other Masonic images. Scabbard and sword have age appropriate wear. Light oxidation to blade. Wood grip is free of cracks, with some finish loss. Sword is marked "The Lilley Co. Columbus Ohio". Engraved name on sword is "Harry A. Ayres". Approx. 37" overall length, 30" blade. Gold gilt scabbard with overall Masonic Templar design and red enameled crosses. Scabbard and sword have age appropriate wear. No oxidation to blade. Some typical age cracks in grip. KNIGHTS OF PYTHIAS CEREMONIAL SWORD & SCABBARD1865-1881 Secret society fraternal Knights of Pythias ceremonial dress sword and scabbard. Ornate scabbard has a man between pillars, pulling them down (similar to Samson destroying his enemy's temple). The scabbard and guard have the initials "FCB", which stand for the Pythian fraternal organization motto ("Friendship, Charity, Benevolence"). The guard also has a crest with the initials UR, which was given to members of the Uniformed Rank. Sword is marked "M.C. Lilley Co. Columbus Ohio" to one side and a knights helmet on the other side. Name on sword is "Alex. Gordon". Approx. 37 1/4" overall length, 29 7/8" blade. Guard is slightly loose.
