WINCHESTER MODEL 1873 LEVER ACTION RIFLE. W.C.F. 38 caliber 24'' long barrel full magazine oiled walnut stock brass trapdoor in crescent-style butt plate. S/n 273950B. Clean bore good rifling strong action. Barrel and magazine have a plum patina some dings in barrel. Frame has a more motled plum patina. Bottom of brass lifter very dinged up. Some scratches in wood. Trapdoor does not work freely. Buckhorn sights are nice good balance. Circa 1888.

Winchester Model 1873 Rifle .22 rimfire cal. short 24.5'' octagonal barrel S/N 302716B. Marked on the top flat of barrel 22 Short also on the cartridge carrier. Walnut buttstock and forearm. Condition: All metal is sharp and crisp. Barrel and magazine has a coat of shellac painted on the metal to preserve the metal underneath which it is a nice plum with traces of blue finish. Frame is sharp and crisp with a nice brown patina. Buttstock and forearm have a dark patina. Bore is good; will clean to better.

SMALL CASED MODEL OF A SHIP ON STAND HMS "Sovereign of the Seas", 17th c. First Rate Ship of the Line, 100 Guns, later known just as "Sovereign", built by Peter Pett, later Commissioner of the Navy, launched at Woolwich Oct 13, 1637. Extravagance of design was part of the crisis that brought down Charles I and the English Civil War. In bowed side plexi case with mahogany frame, model is 31" tall, 34" long, top lifts off, 69" x 40" x 13". Overall very good condition.
