Moorcroft Flambé Landscape Lamp Base ca. 1928 by William Moorcroft (British 1872-1945) Possibly from the Eventide design ca. 1923 - 1930's however with more purple green and red than most others from this design. Turned pottery base not drilled produced as a lamp base with high gloss finish and gentle curves and base and shoulder. Small protruding rim interior is also glazed in dark violet. Bottom with impressed mark paper label. Comes with gilt metal lamp base and fixtures however not wired. Purchased in 1928 by owner's uncle upon graduation from Cornell University.
