- A 19th century French boullework
A 19th century French boullework bracket clock retailed by Charles Frodsham c.1890 with putto surmount enamelled tablet numeral dial and Vincenti movement 36.5in. with matching bracket 13.5in. Estimate ?1 000-1 500 This clock was restored when retailed approx 10 years ago now ormolu mounts have a slightly matted finish and case suffers from some cracking and splitting to the veneer. Top figure looks like it should have held something in its hand which is now missing a few small pins to the ormolu mounts also missing or replaced with nails small cracks and minor chips to numeral 6 otherwise dial good. Plain disc pendulum may well be a replacement for something more ornate. Count wheel escapement also thought to be a later replacement back door only held on by one hinge. Movement not tested as going but thought to be operative (in good order) overall a decorative piece in need of some fairly minor work.
