The lady being that of Sara Pritchard (nee Fitzgerald, d. in 1855, at 94 years of age), also a member of the noble Leinster family of Ireland. Note: a long and regal history regarding the Duke of Leinster can be found online adding perspective to the portrait. The man being her husband William Pritchard, at one time official of the Admiralty court, and a vestry clerk Doctor's Commons. 20.75" x 16.5" each.

Weight: .435 oz troy (13.5 grams). Note: the Kentucky Military Institute was founded in Lyndon, KY, by Colonel Robert Thomas Pritchard Allen (1813-1888) and chartered by the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 1847. It had a summer campus in Florida, and remained in operation until 1971 with the exception of the Civil War Years, during which it was closed. Condition: Excellent condition with light surface wear to backside.
