Abstract Study by Paul Rath Paul Rath (German b. 1892).? Screen print on textile in the manner of Kandinsky initialed l.r.; 24 x 24 in.Rath born in Germany in 1892 spent his formative years in Murnau Germany near his uncle Heinrich Rambold a well known reverse glass painter. Rambold taught Kandinsky while the artist spent time in Murnau and Rath spent time with him there. Rath eventually made his way to Cincinnati Ohio where he produced works in the manner of Kandinsky. This is the first such example we have seen.
