JEAN-PIERRE LAROCQUE EARTHENWAREJEAN-PIERRE LAROCQUE EARTHENWARE SCULPTURE (Canada Born 1953) created 1991 depicting an Expressionist figure on an architecturally stylized base. The sculpture measures 31'' high by 10'' wide unsigned. Provenance: Purchased by the consignor from Revolution A Gallery Project Michigan in 1996. In his art Laroque gives the viewer a sense of emergence with equal proportions of disintegration - chaos with order. He does not begin a project with premeditation but follows whatever the material suggests. The bronze is in excellent condition with minimal wear. The wood plinth has a few light scratches and a ding.
