The underside hallmarked Sheffield with Coronation mark & date mark for 1953 & maker's marks KM, together with retailer marks for Mappin & Webb Montreal. The lid also bearing date marks & maker's marks. Height, 14", weight, 2,178 grams, mounted upon a turned mahogany plinth, overall height of 17". Note: This cup was personally ordered by Mr. Kenneth George Mappin of Montreal, and used as part of a window display in the Ste. Catherine street store celebrating the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

Condition:
