Minimal bluing remains one grip has age split. good mechanics tight hinge clean bore good rifling. There are no Kittredge stamps on the gun. Minor scratches evenly worn. Overall good condition.

Parkerized finish nickel steel bolt with M2 marks on bolt body and handle and numbered with electric pencil to match serial number; walnut stock coarsely checkered buttplate. Condition: Excellent condition with an excellent bore. It retains ca 98% original parkerized finish with only light handling marks. The stock rates excellent and it would be hard to find a better example.

Condition: Good condition with a very good but lightly pitted bore. It retains ca 70% original silver finish while the rest of the gun has a brown patina. It has a weak locking spring and the cylinder does not lock up properly. The barrel is a little loose and the screws are all buggered up.

Only seven known Remington 2ND Model pockets are engraved. Condition: All metal is sharp and crisp with a grey appearance and some black staining. Cylinder has a nice light patina. With beautiful vine style carved Ivory grips.

Serial number stamped on the bottom of barrels and also on the inside of the right grip frame at the top. Marked on the left side on the rib E. Remington & Sons Ilion New York and on the right rib Elliot's Patent Dec 12 1865. Rosewood grips. Condition: All metal is gunmetal grey mixed with some light scattered pitting with minute traces of the original plated finish in the protected ares. Some traces of blue on the hammer mixing with some light pitting. The lines are very sharp and crisp. Grips are excellent. Hinges are good with no cracks or splits. A very rare cartridge deringer.

Retains 75% original blue most loss is around the trigger and on the cylinder markings still clear action smooth bore with slight oxidation.

These had defects and were sold at discount prices.
