MICHAEL WESTERGARD (Montana 20th century) BRONZE SCULPTURE PLUS A CEREMONIAL SHIELD. The bronze is titled ''Sacred Songs - Hidatsa'' and depicts a seated Native American singing with a drum 6.25'' high overall 8.5'' high (including wood plinth). Inscribed ''Westergard'' and dated (19)91. The Hidatsa tribe ceremonial shield measures 21'' diameter. The bronze is in very good condition with minimal wear. The shield is in good condition with light wear throughout.
