[sic] Isaac Hull", 9-3/4 x 11-3/4 in.; modern wood frame. Stanley Sobossek, American/New York, 1918 - 1996, exhibited in annual Washington Square Park art shows in the 1950's and 1960's. Painted scenes of the Village, New Hope PA, New Orleans and the South, and Gloucester MA. Sobossek lived at 309 Sixth Ave in Greenwich Village in the 50's and c.1965, bought a building at 35 Cooper Square used as his studio and gallery as well as a bar, theatre, and music venue. Sizes: 36 x 18 and 30 x 16. The Smithsonian's Archives of American Art has files on the artist. Condition: needs cleaning of heavy cigarette smoke residue, otherwise good. NOTE: PLEASE SEE Lot 167 for a similar Sobossek which has just been professionally cleaned. Oscar Taylor was captured July 1 1863 and subsequently died of disease in prison camp. 4 of the letters have been transcribed special note of letter dated May 9 1863 from Oscar with loads of Chancellorsville accounts. Also included is ''Brothers One and All'' signed first edition book by Mark H. Dunkelman. It recounts the 154th Regiment. Also a hand written poem dated 1864.

The Ivanhoe was built in 1865 in Maine, eventually sold and moved to San Francisco. The ship went down on Sept. 30th, 1894. Comes with display case also built by Williams. From the direct descendants of Williams. Ship measures 23 1/2'' high x 28 1/2'' long. Case measures 31 1/2'' high x 38'' wide x 17'' deep.
