FOLK ART THOROUGHBRED TROTTER AND SULKYFOLK ART THOROUGHBRED TROTTER AND SULKY HOOKED RUGThoroughbred trotter and sulky hooked rug, circa 1880-1900, from Sunbury, Ohio region. Rug is wool, hooked on Monk cloth. Medium sage green and light blue mottle background, bordered by dark green and gray. Bay brown colored horse pulls a red sulky and jockey in blue and gray silks. Very unique item in terms of subject and scale.
Rug has been outfitted with custom four-part stretching frame and attached with velcro. Measures 4 feet by 7 feet.
Condition
Rug is in very good condition. There is a small hole and minor edge and surface wear in two small areas.

CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BOY,CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BOY, KANGXI PERIOD A Chinese famille verte porcelain boy, Kangxi period (1661-1722). The boy is seated upright with his knees outwards and brings his hands in together. Detail on the fingers and toes, and on the yellow tunic decorated with red flowers and green scrolling leaves. His head is tilted to side and he is smiling. Pants are green and the design continues underneath the legs.
