ERNST PLANK COTTON MILLErnst Plank Cotton Mill, three painted and embossed tin structures on a wood base, the main and gatehouse buildings have faux paned glass windows, the engine house has decal windows depicting machinery, faux-gravel covered roof with dome removes to reveal rows of spinning wheels and bobbins activated by exterior wall mounted drive wheel, powered by electric engine in engine house, the adjoining chimney base has opening door with a tray to hold fuel to provide smoke for chimney, 16 1/2" h., 19 1/2" w. This is the second example we know of - the first was in the Ward Kimball collection and sold in November 2014.
Condition:
Some paint wear, several missing /broken panes of glass from main structure, lacking one roof to outbuilding. Lacking engine with drive wheel, engine house roof, one gate section and smoke stack, roof missing a small area of gravel.
