Includes: one (1) titled "The Patient"; one (1) titled "Day Off"; one (1) titled "Playing Hookey"; one (1) titled "The Big Parade"; one (1) titled "The First Date"; one (1) titled "The Checker Game"; one (1) titled "At the Barber"; one (1) titled "Fun on the Hill"; one (1) titled "The Knitting Lesson"; and one (1) titled "Holiday Dinner". Each rectangular form ingot with images of drawings by Rockwell, obverse, title and series name, reverse. "The Franklin Mint" stamped to top edge of ingot, "1500 GRAINS", Sterling, copyright symbol, hallmarks, and number stamped to lower edge of ingot. All housed in a wooden frame with a fitted orange interior and a central wooden plaque with gilt lettering reading "Norman Rockwell's/Fondest Memories/First Edition Proof Set/Solid Sterling Silver", within a brown faux leather case with additional gilt lettering to cover. Ingots: 2 1/2" H x 2" W. 31.870 total troy ounces. Case: 12 1/2" H x 17" W x 1 3/4" D.

11 MORGAN STEINMETZ SCOTTIE DOG AND SPORTING ART PRINTS...Eleven (11) dog related prints by Morgan Stinemetz (American/Tennessee,1886-1969). Includes ten etchings and 1 lithograph, of 8 subjects relating to Scottie Dogs and/or Hunting ( 4 etchings are duplicates). Four prints are titled and pencil signed, including: "Who Me?", "Maggie Cameron", "The Big Parade," and "Eenie, Meenie, Minie, Moe." All unframed. Sheet Sizes range from 9 1/2" x 11" to 16" x 11 1/2". This grouping is accompanied by a photocopy of an article on the artist: "Artist's Retreat" by Louise Davis for the Nashville Tennessean newspaper, Sept. 7, 1952. Biography: Painter and illustrator Morgan Stinemetz was born in Washington, DC. He attended the Corcoran Art School, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under Thomas Anshutz, and the Art Students League in New York. He exhibited at least one oil on canvas landscape (and possibly also a painting of a sailboat) in the groundbreaking International Exhibition of Modern Art in 1913 at the Armory in New York (also known as "The Armory Show" ). During World War I, he designed "camoflauge" for US Navy ships. He went on to a career as a prominent illustrator, working for publications including Colliers, Good Housekeeping, Woman's Home Companion, Outdoor Life, and the Pictorial Review, for which he served as Art Director. Stinemetz became known especially as an illustrator of animals (in particular, Scottie dogs), and judged dog shows throughout the Eastern US and England. In 1939, he accepted a job as art editor for the Methodist Publishing House, which brought him to Nashville, Tennessee in 1941. There, he became a member of the Tennessee Art League. Stinemetz died in the Nashville area in 1969. Condition:
All with toning, some with scattered foxing and small minor stains or minor edge chipping. "Maggie Cameron" has tape residue and 1" tear to top, 1" loss to side. "The Big Parade" has a 1" tear extending from lower edge across title. Scene of hunter with dogs has adhesive reside across margins. Other items good condition.
