The beguiling women of the Les Femmes Fatales collection were each made in a limited edition of 750. Designed with regal grace and dignity by Peggy Davies, each figure in the collection is highly complex and richly decorated. When her husband, the Emperor of the Western Palace died in 1861, T'zu-hsi became Regent and remained in power until she died in 1908. Although a ruthless politician, she had a great love of flowers, art and animals. The Emperor is in good overall condition with light wear throughout a few cracks and the hat finial is chipped and missing. The Empress is in good condition with light wear throughout and a few hairline cracks.
