  American Tall Case Clock American (probably Boston) ca 1800. A tall case clock having a cherry case with reeded columns and finials fretted crests a moon-phase with eight-day time and strike brass movements seconds and date dials with pendulum and weights; ht. 94 in. Condition: Appears all correct but scratches inside indicate possibility of different pendulum length possibly associated movement slight paint loss to dials no winding key calendar not connected. Has door key. Case in very good condition.

Provenance: Sold Pook & Pook, January 6, 2007 lot 689 for $23,000; Collection of C.L. Prickett Condition: fretwork finials and waist door restored, portion of bezel (framing around dial) restored, wooden shaft of pendulum broken at attachment to bob, original feet, minor bumps and cracks at lower corners and lower base molding, case uprights extended and with later bracing (works and case appear to be a good match)
