Elegant sterling silver double inkwell standish with two original blown glass inkwells with polished pontil and sterling fittings, central compartment with individual candleholder with chained canned snuffer, double sided pen trays, with gadrooned border, four scroll legs with acanthus leaf design; double pins underneath to disassemble the standish for cleaning and polishing; engraved with "stag" McCarthy family crest. Each part marked with king's head, lion passant, leopard head, date letter (for 1826) and Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard I maker's hallmarks. Overall weight of silver, without glass inkwells, 13.25 toz.

Condition:
Overall good to very good condition with expected small surface rust blemishes, wear and buildup throughout.
