A Satsuma Geisha Samurai Cup and Saucer Meiji The western shape cup measures apprx. 3-3/4"D x 1-7/8"H with a small foot and the saucer measures apprx. 5-1/2"D also with a small foot. Both are similarly decorated with minutely detailed figures and geometric designs with a great deal of gilt highlighting. Both signed "Gyokushu Painter" on the underside.

Two Kutani Porcelain Lidded Cups and Lidded Sake Bottle First a smaller footed cup with lid and ball finial apprx. 4"T second a larger footed cup with lid and acorn finial apprx. 4-1/2"T and a gourd shape lidded Sake bottle apprx. 5-1/8". All pieces hand painted in polychrome with gilt highlights on gilt background with brocade accents depicting courtly scenes. Both cups have extensive calligraphy texts inside and the bottle has similar text around the shoulders. All pieces signed by calligraphers and marked with gold-tone characters on iron red cartouches underneath.
