SEVEN POCKET WATCH CASES FROM VARIOUS MAKERSFor your consideration is this collection of seven pocket watch cases from various makers circa 1840-1910. The first pocket watch in this collection is a Illinois Watch Case Company / Sears & Roebuck nickel alloy case circa 1890-1900. The watch case was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company for Sears & Roebuck and was given a silveroid grade. The pocket watch features a black and white photo of a small child set in the front. The inside back of the case is marked with the Sears & Roebuck hallmark "SR" and is stamped, "Silveroid" with the serial number reading, "330663". The case shows good condition overall with some slight wear from its age and use but no signs of obvious damage are present. The watch measures 2 7/16" in diameter and 3 1/4" in height. The watch weighs 137.1 grams. The second watch in this collection is a 1899-1907 Crescent Watch Case Company nickel alloy case. The case has a silveroid grade and is stamped with the company's hallmark of a star and moon and the serial number reading, "26548". The case has a glass front face. The case shows good condition overall with some slight wear but no obvious signs of damage present. The case measures 2 1/8" in diameter and 2 3/16" in height. The case weighs 57 grams. The third case is from Keystone Watch Case Company circa 1900-1905 and is silveroid graded. The silveroid grade tells that the watch case is nickel alloy. The case is stamped reading, "Silveroid 1044764". The case shows good condition overall with some wear from years of use and a crack on the bottom front side of the case. The case is also missing the front glass. The case measures 2 1/4" in diameter and 2 15/16" in height. The case weighs 78.9 grams. The fourth case is a Fahys Monarch grade 14k gold filled case with a 21 year guarantee circa 1886-1897. The case is ornately designed and features the hallmark and serial numbers on the inside of the case reading, "Fahys Monarch No. 1 / 489792". The case shows good condition overall with some wear to the designs and the top showing a possible burn mark, but no other signs of damage are present. The case measures 2 3/16" in diameter and weighs 59.8 grams. The fifth case in this collection was made by Dueber Watch Case Manufacturing Company circa 1890-1900. The case grade given to this case is the Gladiator grade and features 10k gold fill and a 20 year guarantee. The case shows faded intricate designs on the front and back and a textured design through the middle piece. The company's hallmark and serial number for the case are stamped on the inside of the case reading, "Warranted 20 years / 5090642". The case shows good condition with wear from its age and use through the years but no obvious signs of damage are present. The case measures 2 3/16" in diameter and 2 5/8" in height. The case weighs 54.3 grams. The sixth case is a Star Watch Case Company / Union Watch Case Company 25 year guarantee gold filled case circa 1910. This case was likely done as a private label by the Star Watch Case Company for the Union Watch Case Company. The case features a glass front and the makers hallmark and serial number stamped on the inside of the case reading, "Union Watch Case Co. Guaranteed Twenty-Five Years 9989517". The case shows good condition overall with wear to the back of the case from its age and years of use, but no signs of obvious damage are present. The case measures 2" in diameter and 2 1/2" in height. The case weighs 34.2 grams. The final case in this collection is this British made 22k gold filled case that once housed a A. Roberts & Co. watch circa 1895-1900. The case once had intricate designs on the front and back but have since been worn off, leaving only remnants. The inside of the case shows British markings such as the gothic E and the gold lion mark, as well as the A. Roberts stampings reading, "No. 20119 A Roberts & Co. Sock Patent Lever Full Jeweled". The case serial number is stamped three times throughout the case reading, "20112". The case shows good condition overall with some wear to the front and back but no obvious signs of damage are present. The case measures 1 3/4" in diameter and a height of 2 1/16". The case weighs 29.2 grams.
