Burley Winter #10 Stoneware Crock w/ Lid ca.1900's Made by Burley-Winter Pottery Company, Crooksville Ohio 1872-1930's. Is a large wide mouth #10 (10 gallon) stoneware crock with lid. Likely made between the 1900's and 1930's for sour kraut, slaw or pickles. The crock is hand turned and glazed with a dark brown finish inside. The crock includes the Burley Winter "Heart" mark with size number. Lid has 2 blue bands. The lid has a couple use chips and the crock has a 1 the bottom edge. Overall it is in very nice collectible for use or display. Measures 17" tall x 16" wide.

Early 1900's Red Wing 2 Gallon Pottery Crock: Included in this lot is a two gallon red wing glazed crock, originating from the early 20th century. Red Wing Union Stoneware, now Red Wing Pottery, refers to American stoneware, pottery, or dinnerware items made by a company initially set up in Red Wing, Minnesota, in 1861 by German immigrant John Paul. The company changed its names several times until they finally settled on Red Wing Potteries, Inc. in 1936. The pottery factory that started in 1861 continues to the present day under the names of Red Wing Pottery and Red Wing Stoneware. The crock is marked across the front, reading "2 Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing, Minn". The piece shows a glazed exterior with a lip. The crock shows good condition overall, with some light wear due to age. The stoneware measures 9 3/4" in diameter by 10 1/2" tall.

Early 1900's Red Wing 2 Gallon Pottery Crock: Included in this lot is a two gallon red wing glazed crock, originating from the early 20th century. Red Wing Union Stoneware, now Red Wing Pottery, refers to American stoneware, pottery, or dinnerware items made by a company that was initially set up in Red Wing, Minnesota, in 1861 by German immigrant, John Paul. The company changed its names several times until they finally settled on Red Wing Potteries, Inc. in 1936. The pottery factory that started in 1861 continues to the present day under the names of Red Wing Pottery and Red Wing Stoneware. The crock is marked across the front, reading "2 Union Stoneware Co. Red Wing, Minn". The piece shows a glazed exterior with a lip. The crock shows good condition overall, with some light wear due to age. The stoneware measures 10" tall by 9 1/2" in diameter.

Three Cobalt-decorated Stoneware Crocks and a Cover, America, 19th century, a three-gallon crock with impressed "BUTTER," a tapered crock impressed "CLARK & FOX," and a crock or wide-mouth jar decorated with a flower blossom, together with a large lid with stylized brushed cobalt blossoms, (chips), ht. 12 1/4, 6 5/8, 5 3/4, cover dia. 12, 8 5/8 in.
Clark & Fox with a few shallow rim chips, cover with rim chips, the "Butter" crock with some sort of acrylic coating on it may be repaired. The cover which is placed on the crock in the lot image, is not available.

Impressed with an encircled "2" below one handle, and the lid is hand numbered 18 in black. Similar to an example attributed to Peter Herrmann, Baltimore, Maryland. Lid has a crack and chipped handle, and is likely a replacement; multiple rim chips to the crock. 12 1/4" diameter, 7 1/4" high overall.
