A number of historic proclamations and other documents of the years 1659 to 1715 including the taking and subsequent execution of Lord Monmouth after the rebellion of 1685 proclamations after the treaty of Breda 1667 details of the court which sentenced Charles I in 1648 and a later court sentencing after the Jacobite rebellion in 1715.

Knox Gordon" (Thomas Knox Gordon, English Chief Justice of South Carolina) beneath affixed seal, August 26, 1772, "John Husbands…with force and arms…into the House of (Samuel Williams) did by Violence force and him assault at an unreasonable Hour of the Night to the Great Teror [sic] and Anoyance [sic] of him and his Family…", docketed on verso, watermarked laid British paper, 7-1/2 x 12-1/2 in. DATED 1603 ENGLISH COMMEMORATIVE PETIT POINT NEEDLEWORK, FRAMED Allegory of Baby Moses in the Nile, featuring four women in Tudor dress and a distant castle; done the year Queen Elizabeth I died and the Tudor Age ended; the Stuarts beginning with King James I. Self-bordered with roses in corners, shields to left and right. Housed in a molded walnut frame, glazed, OS: 18 1/4" x 20 3/4", SS: 16" x 18 1/4". Condition commensurate with age.

John Speed map of Bohemia, 1626, "Bohemia, Newly Described by John Speed", published by George Humble, London, 1626, ten vignettes of costumed figures at sides and seven city views at top, on laid paper with English text verso, 16-1/2 x 21-1/2 in. Loose, toning, stains, smudges, reinforced center crease with some darkening, repaired tear upper right corner, top and bottom margins trimmed including portions of plate marks.

1 piece. Manuscript Document. William III, King of England. [London: October 14, 1701.] 1 p., folio, approx. 13 x 8 1/2 inches (336 x 216 mm), browned at edges. An act to secure an excise on tobacco exported from Pennsylvania, County New Castle, and the "Lower Counties upon the Delaware", other American colonies to provide funds for a minister and a school teacher in Philadelphia. Contemporary copy, possibly the original order to prepare the official document for the King's signature, "our will and pleasure is that you forthwith prepare a Bill for our royal signature..." The official bill was signed by William III in Holland. ,200 Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Philip III of Spain DS Philip III of Spain or Felipe III (1578-1621).? DS 1p on laid paper 8.25 x 12 August 25 1604 at Lerma signed Yo El Rey (I [as] the King).? Accompanied by typewritten translation. The document is addressed to the Prior of the Convent of Ucles of the Order of St. James ordering that don Goncarlo Enrriquez Knight of the Order of St. James be released from his obligation of six months on the king's galley and instead be kept on probation at the convent for one month and instructed on the rigorous ordeals and other matters that a Knight ought to know after which he will be tested and conferred with his title. Condition: Engrossed in heavier paper border.? Very good condition for 400+ years old.

17TH CENTURY RELIGIOUS PORTRAIT, PRAGUEOil on canvas painting of Joes Cztiborius Kotva. Inscription at bottom states he is a theologian during the time of "Ferdi. II" or Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II (1619-1637). Painting is set in Bohemia (today Prague, Czech Republic) as the Church of Our Lady before Tyn can be seen over the subject's shoulder. A small suit of armor stands on the table next to a goblet. Well stabilized and relined. Some loss at bottom along with wear and visible repairs. Modern frame with period styling.
