1 piece. Manuscript Document. William III, King of England. [London: October 14, 1701.] 1 p., folio, approx. 13 x 8 1/2 inches (336 x 216 mm), browned at edges. An act to secure an excise on tobacco exported from Pennsylvania, County New Castle, and the "Lower Counties upon the Delaware", other American colonies to provide funds for a minister and a school teacher in Philadelphia. Contemporary copy, possibly the original order to prepare the official document for the King's signature, "our will and pleasure is that you forthwith prepare a Bill for our royal signature..." The official bill was signed by William III in Holland. ,200 Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
