1812 alphabet and verse sampler, four lines of letters and numbers over an eight line verse titled "The fair Ladie's wish", stitched on last line "Philena Severance", lower panel 15 window building with birds perched on roof beside a fenced garden, "1812" written in pencil bottom center, silk on linen, unframed, American, possibly Massachusetts or New Hampshire, early 19th century, 13 x 10 in.
