1864 CONFEDERATE $50 BILL, RICHMOND, VAThis $50 Confederate note has a picture of Jefferson Davis in the center. This note was printed with black ink and a pick overprint on the front and with blue ink on the back. No. 21414. Marked "Two years after the ratification of a treaty of peace between the Confederate States and the United States, The Confederate States of America will pay to the bearer on demand Fifty Dollars/ Richmond, Feb. 17th, 1864/ Keatinge & Ball Columbia, SC" and signed in two places. Measures approximately 3-1/2" x 7-1/4". Good overall condition and has been housed in a plastic sheath. Provenance: Private Virginia collector.
