Smith the sum of three hundred dollars for the purchase of a negro man Davy.....John W. Edward", 2) "Received Florence, Ala 31st January 1846 of Henry D. Smith thirty one hundred dollars for the purchase of the following Negros....", 3) "Received Florence 31 January 1846 of Henry D. Smith one thousand and fifty two dogs and fifty cents...for the sale of certain Negros", and 4) "January 5th 1846 Rec'd of Henry D. Smith the sum of four hundred and twenty five dollars in full for the purchase of Negro boy Joe about thirteen years of age.....Jno. F. Wilkins Sec." Dimensions: (overall) 24"h x 12.5"w.
