Barrel is clean steel with cartouches and stamps ZD on top 1819 on side 3113 on side shield cartouches on side. S. Blasien on lockplate. Roman 2 . 1.398 on top tang of buttplate.

Older finish light corrosion on barrel. Our consignor (the Hallock family) indicates that all of their guns are in working order but we cannot guarantee their functionality.

Militia Musket Dated 1833 A New England style flintlock militia musket by Lane and Reed of Boston Massachusetts dated barrel 1833. The lock is signed "Lane & Reed Boston"; but the barrel is stamped with what appears to be European marks. Stamped as follows" {L.H}- {P in radiant oval} {M} {1833}. Metal appears to be varnished or shellacked at one time. Ram rod is replacement dowel 69. cal. smooth bore.
