India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Pegu (Ast Surgn J.B. Scriven. 1st Eur. Bengal Fusrs), minor edge bruise, good very fine and toned with a silver rib and brooch plus copied service papers/Note: Surgeon John Barclay Scriven was born in Carlisle in 1828. He was educated at University College London and qualified on the Medical Board in 1849. He was promoted to Assistant Surgeon in 1851 and Surgeon in 1863. English horn cup dated 1788, finely detailed engraving with horse-drawn carriages, architectural details, animals in foreground, marked "N Spilman Fecit" and inscribed "A west prospect of Mr. S. Allen's bath house, and an assembly room, Great Yarmouth", and at base "This commodious bath house into which the salt water is raised by a machine every tide was erected some years ago where Valetudinarians and company of both sexes are attended with safety & decency. A bath house B. machine assembly room which was built AD 1788 D. the bleach", 3-3/4 in. FRENCH & INDIAN WAR DS, PENNSYLVANIA, 1758 Original signed order of Deputy Governor William Denny (1709-'65, royal governor of Pennsylvania, 1756-'59) May 8, 1758, requiring Capt. Garraway's company of militia to gather at Bethlehem and all the other forces east of the Susquehanna to prepare to march to Carlisle "on the first Notice," and announcing the promotion of Capt. Joseph Shippen to Brigade Major. Shippen, 1732-1810, and his soldiers would play a prominent role in Forbes' Campaign, which culminated in the capture of Fort Duquesne on Nov. 25, 1758; 1 p. 4to, laid down on a heavy sheet of paper.

Boutwell" (1818-1905, Grant's Treasury Secretary); eight lines regarding the Bible, signed "Edward Everett" (1794-1865, Fillmore's Secretary of State); items by "Josiah Quincy", "Robt. C. Winthrop", "H.W. Beecher" with cabinet card of him by Sarony, New York, "James T. Fields", "Charles Cleveland", "Anna E.
