Moderate-heavy wear from use but nothing appears refinished--original walnut finish with some dings mottled brown patina on the barrels brass frame with dings. There is no visible markings around the sight.

Winchester Third Model 1866
Winchester Third Model 1866 Saddle Ring Carbine .44 rimfire cal. 20" barrel S/N 46628 walnut stocks brass frame missing barrel band screw at forend Condition: Very good condition with a good but lightly pitted bore. The walnut stocks rate very good but the left side of the buttstock has the name "A Jones" carved in it. The barrel and mag tube have a dark brown patina finish while the brass frame shows evidence of an older cleaning.

Winchester Model 1873 First Model Saddle Ring Carbine .44-40 cal. 20'' barrel S/N 14865. Blue finish walnut stocks; 1876 date of mfg. Condition: Very good condition with a fair bore. The bore is pitted throughout but still has good rifling. The metal finish has turned a dark brown patina and nearly all of the screws are ''buggered.'' The buttstock has a solid crack running through the middle and has some initials lightly carved in the left side. This is a nice example of an early '73 carbine.
