ANTIQUE EUROPEAN ROLLING BLOCK PISTOLPossibly Belgian, rolling block pistol, similar in design to a US Model 1871 Remington Army pistol. Round barrel measures approx. 4 5/8" with rifling present. Approx. .42 cal. Pistol has age appropriate wear with areas of oxidation, pitting and finish loss. Action functions. Bore has large patches of oxidation. Right side grip has small crack and chip. This item can be shipped in-house.

Antique Remington No. 4 Rolling Block Rifle .22 cal. 24'' barrel S/N 16865. Blued barrel case colored receiver walnut stocks; Lyman Super Targetspot 20X scope. Condition: Very good condition with a very good bore. The barrel is mostly brown with ca 20% original blue and the receiver has mottled traces of original case colors. The wood is near excellent with a .25'' sliver missing where it meets the top tang. The later added scope has clear optics and retains ca 95% original blue finish.

Barrel has light layer of corrosion. Stock retains very dark patina with expected wear and scratches. Butt plate stamped U.S. on top.

Stamped with Danish crown over M-1867 side plate Kjobenhavs Toimuus 1878 on backstrap inspectors cartouche G.C. on stock. These Danish models differ from the stock models as they have 2 firing pin holes for conversion from rimfire to centerfire depending on the available ammunition. Action works fine. 50 1/2'' overall.CONDITION: Expected signs of use mars to stock. We do not condone the attempt to fire any antique firearm in any condition.

Set of Four Vintage American Bookbinder's Gilding Rolls, each with a wooden body, iron yoke and brass wheel, each wheel with a different design, including two by J. R. Hoole and Son, New York, each l. 21-3/4", one by Gane Brothers and Lane, Chicago, l. 22-1/4", and one with rubbed maker's stamp, Cincinnati, l. 24-1/2". These tools were used for embossing and gilding the decorative banding on royal bindings; the wheels were heated before use.
