Plays ten tunes and retains its original printed and handwritten music selection card. 6 1/2''h. 23''w. Plays but needs work. No pins or plucks missing or broken. Does not have key. Looks like an old stain in front (dark line). Inlay on front is partly faded (could be a replacement) and some is missing. Top board (lid) is cracked across entire length on inside but crack only shows 3'' on top of lid from right edge towards the center. Plays all 10 songs.

Music box necessaire, shaped as miniature pianoforte, figured English walnut with brass bosses around side and turned ebonized legs, probably British, mid 19th century, music box in working order with key, 6 x 11-3/4 x 7-1/2 in., includes mother-of-pearl implements, perfume, thimble and etched Chinese whist markers. Lacking three teeth and slightly out of register, hinges repaired, lacking one set of scissors and tweezers, wear to one foot.
